Event Summary
The Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP), the country's
catalyst and advocate of the Philippine furniture industry, would like to invite local manufacturers
of furniture, home furnishings, accessories, gifts and houseware to participate in MANILA NOW 2008
(12th Philippine International Furniture Show) which will be held from March 5-8, 2008 at the country's
newest and world class exhibition and convention center, SMX Convention Center in Pasay City (beside the Mall of Asia).
This international event is considered as one of the most respected and most important event for
international buyers because of the following reasons:
- It is traditionally part of the international buyers’ regular itinerary as they travel to Asia for the Asian circuit which begins with Malaysia, followed by the Philippines (Manila and Cebu), Indonesia, Singapore, and China). With Manila being the second stop, it increases the chances for Philippine manufacturers to get a bigger share of the buyers’ purchasing budget.
- Philippine-made furniture and furnishings are famous for their material innovations, are well designed and are made of quality materials. We are considered as the design destination in Asia which makes us a “must-see” for international buyers.
- Based on the show’s track record, majority of the buyers come from Europe and Asia, followed by the U.S. and with total 1,223 international buyers recorded last year.
- Last year alone, orders generated from international buyers reached over US$20 million.
Why Should You Exhibit
- WORLD-CLASS AND BIGGER VENUE - Manila Now will be held in the newly constructed and only world-class exhibition and conference center in the country with over 16,000 sq. meters of exhibition space located beside the Mall of Asia.
- PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZER - The event is now being managed by one of the country’s top exhibition and trade show organizer, Global-Link, to enhance both the exhibitor and foreign buyer campaigns. They organize and manage over ten (10) shows annually including Philconstruct, The Lifestyle Show and the Manufacturing Technology World series of shows.
- SOLID EXHIBITOR RESPONSE - With just 3 months of marketing campaign, over 10,000 sq. meters of exhibition space has been booked by companies coming from Pampanga, Manila, Iloilo, Bacolod and Cebu thus making Manila Now the biggest furniture and home furnishings trade show in the country today.

It will also include 50,000 invitation mailers to potential buyers, distributors, and agents nationwide.
- A "Manila Now E-invitation card" will be e-mailed to all participating exhibitors which can be used to send invitations to their preferred buyers. It is simple to use wherein you just type in the e-mail addresses of your clients and press send and an invitation will have been sent.
- MASSIVE DISPLAY SELECTION - The biggest and most well designed booths by top furniture manufacturers will be on display including Azcor, Betis, Designs Ligna, Diretso, Evolve, Far East Furniture, LightWorks, Locsin, Maze, More Than a Chair, Vienna, and many more.
- NEW MARKET FOR OTHER SECTORS - With a bigger venue, two new sections will be included in MANILA NOW: Home Furnishings and Accessories plus Gifts and Houseware. Since 24% of sales generated from international buyers are composed of arts and crafts, home décor, houseware, lamps, lightings and fixtures, gifts, kitchen and tableware, as well as pots, terracotta and jars, a specialized section will be dedicated for these in order to make the Philippine International Furniture Show the biggest one-top-shop for international buyers.
- LOCAL AND INTERNATIONAL BUYERS/MARKET - With the convention center located beside our country’s biggest and newest shopping center (SM Mall of Asia) and the last two days of the event being opened to the public, exhibitors will have the opportunity to expand their market by selling not only to the international market but to the local consumers and buyers/traders also (i.e., local retail shop owners, department store owners, hoteliers, hobbyists, interior designers, developers, etc.).
- FIRST FURNITURE AND FURNISHINGS SHOW IN MANILA FOR 2008 - Manila Now will be the first furniture and furnishings show in 2008 in Manila. With the local economy being so strong, local buyers, hotel projects, restaurants and all local designers looking for fresh ideas and new designs are a sure “cash market” for exhibitors who may generate immediate sale on-site.
Manila Now is creating a lot of excitement in the international market because of the numerous innovations to the show and the positive response in the market. Make sure you are part of this event to experience the benefits of being part of the best the country has to offer.
